Easy Ways

Introduction - Follow a Balanced Diet for
Weight-Loss
If you want to achieve and maintain a healthy weight, ignore the
latest fad diets in the glossy magazines and newspapers, and
slimming clubs and websites which aim to keep taking subscriptions
from you for as long as possible. This free diet website will help
you to lose weight, and you choose what you eat and drink, instead
of becoming dependent on diet plans.
There is only one real diet, and that’s a ‘balanced’ diet. It isn't
new, but it's always been recognized as the healthiest diet by
governments, dieticians, and even manufacturers of 'slimming'
products which can only aid weight loss, "as part of a healthy
balanced diet". In fact, if you're following a balanced diet, you
don't actually need to buy those 'slimming' products.
Following a balanced diet means that we must eat a combination of
different types of foods which will provide us with all the
nutrients that we need to maintain our health, and the appearance of
our hair, skin, and nails – and we mustn’t eat or drink too much of
anything which can cause weight gain or medical problems. If you
need to lose weight, then your diet is not balanced, in one or more
ways - e.g. it may include an above normal amount fat, sugar, or
alcohol - so logically, following a balanced diet will result in
weight loss. You don't need to consume a below normal amount of fat,
or buy expensive sugar substitutes and special low-carb foods.
The 'Mediterranean diet' is an example of a balanced diet, and it is
often recommended for its health benefits, but a balanced diet can
include traditional food, as well as cuisine from any other country
or region. Plenty of people from around the world live long and
healthy lives, without ever consuming any olive oil.
You cannot know if you are following a balanced diet just by
counting how many calories you're consuming. You can consume a
recommended amount of calories, and lose weight, but you may still
not be getting all the nutrients that you need from your diet, which
will eventually affect your health and appearance.
The amount of knowledge that you need to create your own balanced
diet isn’t that great, but a lot of big businesses have made, and
still make, a LOT of money by convincing people that they need
‘expert’ advice , ‘ongoing support’, or even worse, that they really
need to use a special ‘diet-plate’ or ‘diet-bowl’, like some kind of
‘diet-baby’. Newspapers and magazines constantly bombard readers
with the ‘latest diet’ or ‘research’ and detailed nutritional
information about every food that you can think of. The amount of
‘diet’ information published nowadays can appear overwhelming to
many people, and cause stress, confusion, and despondency.
The aim of this website is to provide enough information for people
to create their own balanced diet, and achieve and maintain a
healthy weight. However, there isn’t so much information that it
makes understanding the principles of a balanced diet seem like
rocket-science. The information in the Guidelines may need to be
read a few times, but the knowledge that you gain will mean freedom
from ‘meal plans’, ‘ongoing expert advice’, ongoing subscriptions,
and having to buy special diet bowls, plates, cups, and other
money-making gimmicks that the diet-industry will dream up.
Following a balanced diet should also mean an end to 'bloating' for
those that currently suffer from it, and an end to buying those
products which claim to 'cure' it. However, you should see your G.P.
to make sure that the bloating isn't being caused by any medical
problem.
There are sections of this website which give suggestions for what
to eat and drink, but after reading these and the Guidelines, you
will be able to decide for yourself what you want to eat and drink
to achieve a balanced diet . Making a lot of changes to your diet at
the same time is stressful and unrealistic, so this website
recommends making gradual changes to your diet - and level of
exercise. This approach is unlikely to result in rapid weight-loss,
but gradual changes will result in permanent weight loss, and you
will eventually be able to forget about 'dieting' - forever.
There is no need to start making meals from scratch, contrary to
what many TV cooks and chefs are obsessed with telling people, so
the nutritional information provided on the labels of ready-prepared
food items is explained. Also, the Exercise section of this website
doesn’t try to persuade anybody that they must go to a gym, if they
don’t want to.
Important:
Obviously, if you have (or suspect that you have) any medical
condition, then you should ask your doctor’s advice before
making any changes to your diet. Pregnant or breastfeeding women
should also consult their doctor or health adviser for dietary
advice. If you have any allergies, please check the labels of any
products mentioned on this website. Unless you have been advised to
do so by a doctor, this website recommends that you should not
consider appetite suppressants, gastric balloons, gastric banding,
or anything else which would prevent you from eating a normal amount
of food – you need to eat a normal amount of food, at fairly regular
intervals throughout each day, otherwise you will not be getting the
nutrients that you need to maintain your health and appearance.
If you're serious about changing your lifestyle, these steps help
you get there. The key is to dedicate yourself to these changes and
do them consistently. There is a lot of good info on many diets here
I really like the program
Diet.com I strongly recommend this diet
plan. Dr Kushner believes that our personality has a major impact on
our attitudes towards food and exercise. This will come as no
surprise to most of us! Every week another new fad or eating plan
comes out, claiming weight loss miracles. Unfortunately most of us
'fall off the rails' for some reason or another.
What if we had insight into why we eat like we do? Or why every time
we start exercising we give up?
What if we could find those reasons and fix them?
Maybe then, we could finally live a lifestyle that will result in
sustained weight loss - and lifelong weight management.

No, losing weight isn't a walk in the park. But by following these
steps ... you may find it's a little easier than you think. I do not
want everyone on this planet to be skinny. We would be pretty boring
people if we all looked the same. I just want to encourage people to
take time out every once in a will to eat healthy for a while even
raw foods for a week or a slight fasting. Give your digestive system
a rest.
Do not stress your self out about losing weight there really is an
easy way to diet to start with we need to work on our mind. We need
to have a good mind set. If you are losing weight for someone else ,
a job or even a sport you are going about it the wrong way you will
be fight against your self. In order for us to do this the right way
we need our mind and body working together. As I write this article
I want you to know that we are trying to get back to basics this is
about using common sense. Try to have fun with different diets what
works for one person doesn't work for another. Get rid of the junk
food in your kitchen start today changing your life. Go grocer
shopping and buy things healthy start simple. Try to stay away from
processed foods make simple meals, you can get fancy with your meals
later, so just start with things you like to eat and that are simple
to make. You can eat a lot of great tasting food just start lowering
your portion size gradually.
The body does not like processed foods if you feed your dog donuts
and soda its whole life or its short life what do you think it would
look like probably mangy and sickly
Do you think the cave man ate every five minutes or carried a water
bottle with him everywhere he went. We consume way to much food find
something else to do or think about.
This may keep you out of the hospital or even prolong your life I
have done this several times some call it detox it doesn't have to
be that severe its about eating things your body can use not things
its just trying to reject
Once or twice a year even if you choose not to diet and eat junk
food I highly recommend you do this for 3-7 daygive your digestive
system a break
The Level 1 Detox: Stay on for 7 days. You really won't feel hungry
(the object is to nibble on this stuff all day)
Start your day with this: Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother you
can find it in most any grocery store. Put 2 table spoons in half
cup of water with a little honey.
Breakfast: oatmeal, cereal, eggs, there are lots of healthy foods
you can have for breakfast eggs are very nutritional make 2 eggs
with one piece of toast not two. I now this is not raw food but it
fills you up in the morning. After you have done this program a few
times try just eating fruit or juicing in the morning. I prefer
carrot juice in the morning easy to digest for the first thing in
your belly.
Snack: water, tea, green tea, lemon water, fruit, almonds (only
about a handful)
Lunch: Eat raw foods I eat carrots, celery, radishes, ect... You
really can't eat to much of this
Snack: drink green tea, lemon water, protein drink (whey protein)
Dinner: Only raw foods
Ramp this up as much as you want raw foods all day long can really
make you feel better especially if you've been having stomach
problems. After you eat only raw foods for 3 days go to only liquid
juicing for 3 days you will need to purchase a juicer but it will be
worth it. This is the ultimate relaxation and on your digestive
system.
I have seen several friends that have gone to the hospital for
pancreas, liver and gallbladder problems what do you think the
hospital does, (ill tell you) they give them pain medication and let
them chew on ice for 2 to 3 days or however long it takes for the
body to hopefully heal it self. it take a lot of work for the body
to digest food especially, junk, toxic processed food.
1. Avoid Your Triggers "You crave what you eat, so if you switch
what you're eating, you can weaken your old cravings and strengthen
new ones," says Marcia Pelchat, PhD, of the Monell Center. This can
happen pretty fast. For five days, her study volunteers drank bland
dietary-supplement beverages. During that time, they craved fewer of
their trigger foods. By the end of the study, the volunteers
actually wanted the supplements instead. The first few days are
always the hardest, and you probably can't completely eliminate your
old cravings. But the longer you avoid your trigger foods, the less
likely you may be to want them. In fact, you'll probably begin to
crave the foods you eat, a real bonus if you've switched to fresh
fruit.
2. Go Nuts Drink two glasses of water and eat an ounce of nuts (6
walnuts, 12 almonds or 20 peanuts). Within 20 minutes, this can
extinguish your craving and dampen your appetite by changing your
body chemistry, says Michael F. Roizen, MD.
3. Let it Go Since stress is a huge trigger for cravings, learning
to deal with it could potentially save you hundreds of calories a
day. This will take some practice. You can try deep breathing or
visualizing a serene scene on your own, or you can speed things up
by buying one of the many CDs that teach progressive muscle
relaxation. A good one is Relaxation/Affirmation Techniques, by
Nancy Hopps.
4. Take a Power Nap Cravings sneak up when we're tired. Focus on the
fatigue: Shut the door, close your eyes, re-energize.
5. Get Minty Fresh Brush your teeth; gargle with mouthwash. "When
you have a fresh, clean mouth, you don't want to mess it up," says
Molly Gee, RD, of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
6. Distract Yourself If only ice cream will do, it's a craving, not
hunger. "Cravings typically last ten minutes," says John Foreyt,
PhD, of Baylor College of Medicine. Recognize that and divert your
mind: Call someone, listen to music, run an errand, meditate or
exercise.
7. Indulge Yourself -- Within Limits Once in a while, it's OK to go
ahead and have that ice cream. But buy a small cone, not a pint. Try
100-calorie CocoaVia chocolate bars or 100-calorie snack packs of
cookies, peanuts or pretzel sticks. The trick is to buy only one
pack at a time so you won't be tempted to reach for more. And since
even 100 extra calories can sabotage weight loss if you indulge
daily, strike a bargain with yourself to work off the excess
calories. A brisk 15-minute walk will burn 100 calories or so.
8. Plan or Avoid
Vary your usual routine to avoid passing the bakery or pizzeria. If
you know you'll be face-to-face with irresistible birthday cake,
allocate enough calories to fit it into your diet.
Keep a Food Diary
When you're shopping for gifts, buy yourself a pretty journal.
Writing down what you eat can double your weight loss, according to
a new study of nearly 1,700 dieters from Kaiser Permanente's Center
for Health Research, in Portland, Oregon. Those who documented their
food, drinks, and exercise every day lost twice as much over six
months as people who did so occasionally or not at all (average
difference: 20 pounds compared with 10).
Practice the Three-Bite Method
If you look forward to the chocolate cake all year long, don't deny
yourself. Just take a small slice, savor it thoroughly and use the
three-bite rule: "Studies show that people always rate the first and
last bites as the best.
"Three bites give you a first, a middle, and a last -- all you need
to appreciate a dessert completely."
Or contribute a low-fat dessert to the gathering: sorbet, biscotti,
dried fruit, pumpkin pie (instead of pecan), or fresh strawberries
dipped in melted dark chocolate.
Plan a "Recovery Day"
Experts suggest after a big-deal dinner, plan a "day after" regimen
that combines protein and high-fiber vegetables at every meal.
Less Exercise, More Frequently
Good news for the holiday-crazed: Short bursts of exercise can make
a surprisingly big difference.
In fact, British researchers found that women who took three
10-minute walks a day lost more weight and reduced their waist size
more than those who took a single 30-minute daily walk. The same
scientists also found that women who had five two- to six-minute
breaks of vigorous stair-climbing spread over the course of each day
for eight weeks improved their fitness significantly. Easy way to
